She creates mostly inspiring nature scenes of local places with a complex and a time-consuming technique. The characteristic of her works is simple, energetic and an eye-candy!Here you can find out how she does it – what inspires her creativity and how it all started.

Introduce yourself to us!

My name is Rania. I’m a nature art creator. Most of my works are experiments within the classic art movement. Currently, I focus mostly on making oriental, nature drawings and paintings.

Where are you from & What’s your background? or Who are you and what do you do?

I am from Lebanon. I studied Medical Sciences and hold a BS in this field. I work as an academic lab manager in the American University of Beirut, and mother of two kids.

Where did you get the art talent from?

From my mother, she studied fine arts and Interior design. In addition, my dad is an engineer, and he used to spend lots of time drawing maps with all the tools ready on his desk which inspired me. I used to use those tools to draw on my free time, and this is how my talent evolved.

Do you listen to music when you’re painting?

Yes. Mainly classical orchestral music specially the piano.

What are the techniques you use to reflect your artwork?

I love colorful objects. The combination of colors and how it brings things to life is fascinating to my visual experience. Using the old technique of drawing with colored pencils is something beyond compare. It reveals details in color combinations for example a bird’ s wing can be a mixture of 35 colors which you can see with the naked eye that I try to reflect in my drawings.

What other passions do you have apart from art?

When there’s time, I enjoy playing the piano. Absolutely love watching movies.

What are your creative plans for the future?

It’s hard to say what’s going to happen. Every day is a new beginning. It would be exciting to participate in an art exhibition/ festival hopefully in the near future.

Thank you! It’s been great to get to know more about the mind and person behind such talented and inspiring works.
